SQL table only supports PRIMARY keys and UNIQUE constraints.

CREATE TABLE myTable
(
Field1 char (10) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT,
Field2 char (10) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT,
PRIMARY KEY (Field1),
UNIQUE(Field2)
);

If you want non-specified order key as you could do in DDS, you can create
an index and use that in an HLL (i.e. RPG pgm) as if it's just another keyed
LF that surfaces all of the fields in the table (by default it does).

Subject: RE: Using meaningful names for table columns

As a follow up question on the use of DDL,

If I want to add a key (non-unique and non-primary) to a table from within
the create table routine, is it possible?

I know that I can create an index (which from I understand is similar in
nature to a *LF), which is not what I want to do.....I want to create a
default sort or order on the table itself.....
