I don't know if Ingenico has a virtual system for development, though
I do know they're good to work with if you have the right people. I
don't use the web page on the eN-Touch 3000 - didn't even know they
could do that. Sounds interesting though.

Thanks everyone for their responses so far. I have summarized some

transaction information so the remote system knows what to do with the
signature.[/Walden]

How involved is the software writing you are doing on the PC side? Looking
at TopazSystems it looks like one could write a simple/intuitive .NET/Java
PC app that would allow an insurance broker to enter an id (i.e. policy
number) and then place the cursor in a space where an image could be placed
and then the user would simply sign the touch pad and the image would show
up in the app. Then the insurance broker would hit another button and it
would upload the image to the iSeries and catalog it against the policy
number entered. Is that similar to what you are doing?

Do they (TopazSystems) have a virtual touch pad developers can use to
emulate a signature (so I don't have to go out and buy one just to try out
the integration)? When I was doing Blackberry development a few years ago
they had an emulator that made it real handy for testing applications you
had created without loading it on a real Blackberry.

code to talk to the signature capture device. After the signature has been
acquired, the thin client transfers the signature to the iSeries. [/Michael

I noticed it can bring up web sites on the eN-Touch 3000. I am wondering if
I could simply setup a simple web page that allows the broker to enter a
policy number and then have the customer sign the tablet and the image could
be sent to a URL. I will eventually contact the vendor, but was curious if
you knew if they could do that?

Do they (Ingenico) have a virtual touch pad developers can use to emulate a
signature (so I don't have to go out and buy one just to try out the
integration)?

Thanks,
