Upgraded to V6R1. I couldn't get my TCP/IP interfaces to start. STRTCPIFC
would end up with
TCP9535 - Failed to apply filtering rules.
Which told me to go look at the QTCPWRK joblog
That had related messages like:
TCP5B11 - An unexpected error occurred during an IPsec request. Reason
code: -7, Source file: qtofapp1.C,
TCP5B11 - An unexpected error occurred during an IPsec request. Reason
code: 8, Source file: qtofapp1.C,
TCP9535 - Failed to apply filtering rules.
IBM asked me if I was using filtering rules. I said I didn't think so.
They feel the filtering rules table got corrupted during the upgrade. The
had me run: RMVTCPTBL. Then I was able to start the interfaces.
