That was interesting, Joe.
But your article obviously targets those who don't know EGL, like myself. How/where do I go about getting started?

No point in typing EGL in Google, the results are worse than RPG ( Role Playing Games ).

I'v briefly tried RPG CGI and at home I'm getting into PHP and MySQL. I'm afraid I haven't at all understood the limitations of using RPG CGI as a solution.

Could someone elaborate?

Objet : Latest EGL Features

If you're interested in the latest EGL features, especially the stuff coming with the new Rich UI (I think the proper term is "Rich Web Services"), you might want to check out my latest article over at MC Press. It shows shots of EGL-generated dashboard widgets, even a link to a Google map. And since calling an RPG program is just a single CALL opcode, it's trivial to get the data either using SQL or accessing RPG busniess logic.

I'll be giving a presentation on EGL with George Farr at RSDC in June.
Also, I'm cooking up a project with one of the EGL developers that will absolutely blow you away. Stay tuned, and see what i can do...
