Hi Vern

My pet hate about Navigator is configuring Virtual Ethernet lines in the
green screen and then having to start Navigator just to tick the "Use proxy
ARP" checkbox. Silly that you can't set it any other way.

The IASP stuff/disk pool works pretty well in navigator - though some of the
disk pool configuration screens are slightly less than obvious to my way of
thinking. I really had to think about what to do to add disks to a pool,
especially when adding disk to an existing pool. I suppose that's a good
thing really :)

Seeing more than one QSYS.LIB's in the file system using navigator is pretty
cool as well.

I noticed at a customer that one of their IASP's doesn't have the pretty
icon the IASP's usual get (they aren't a standard folder icon) and the file
system doesn't show up in WRKLNK. But the libraries and objects are still
accessible - just not the IFS stuff. Made me wonder whether they are kinda
like symbolic links or something under the covers - there's some magic there
somewhere for sure.

Regards
Evan Harris

Hi Evan

I'm with you all the way - navigator is not for me, if I want to get some
work done! Except for the stuff you have to do there - and I've been playing
with independent ASPs lately - Navigator does really well. And visual
Explain - of course - once it gets started!

Vern
