In my case, if I remember right, we wrote the compiler in Pascal, the language being parsed was (as I said) a degenerate subset of Modula-2, and the code generation phase (since this was a 3-unit 1-semester undergraduate class) simply spat out Fortran source.

When I worked for Oxxi, we were involved in the publication of a Modula-2 compiler and runtime for the Amiga, called Benchmark Modula-2.
