And then, instead of moving forward using proper technologies (that
are available on the IBM i!) like Java to interoperate with Web
Services, they stay with crude hacks like HTTP API and handwritten XML
readers (that are nowhere near a proper XML interpreter).

Business people that do not want to spend money on maintaining a
proper, current infrastructure will lose. Not in this quarter, but
maybe in the next. But most business people are unable to think more
than 3 months or 12 months in advance.
