I just wanted to add my thoughts to this thread. Honestly, it's hard
for me to know what to say when something like this happens. I've had
all day to think about it (I learned about it this morning when Hoss
noticed me checking out of the hotel, and told me the news) and I still
don't know what to say, so I'll just say what's on my mind...
I spoke to Al twice this week at COMMON. Early in the week, after asking
him how he felt (I had heard about his accident) I was a bit worried
about him, and I asked him to see a doctor. He told me that he had
already done so, and they had run tests, and he told me not to worry,
he'd be okay. He was also very proud -- as always -- of his system
values session. He seemed much more interested in talking about that,
than his health.
The other time I spoke to him was Thursday... and we didn't really talk,
he just said good bye, since COMMON was over and he was going back to
his room. It's hard to believe he's gone -- I feel like I just talked to
him!
This is a terrible loss to our community. My condolences to the whole
community, and also (especially) to his family.
