I often wonder about this - the UPDHST parameter on the SAV command intrigues me - here is the help text

Update history (UPDHST)
Specifies whether to update the save history on the objects saved with this save operation. The save history information is used when CHGPERIOD(*LASTSAVE) is specified on a later save operation.
This suggests there might be a last save date even on IFS objects - anyone know for sure?

IFS objects (outside of QSYS.LIB and QDLS) do not have a last saved date
(to the best of my knowledge). I would suggest adding an output(*print)
or output(*outfile) to your saves. With a little creativity you could
post the results to a master file to keep the data updated. Or you may
want to just append the work file (with a timestamp and maybe even the
volume id) so that you can use that for data recovery. that way "I now
know that file yadda.txt in directory myexcrement was saved on these dates
to these volumes. I wonder which one I should restore..."

Subject
Do IFS objects have a last-saved date?

I looked at the attributes for IFS objects and I don't see a last-saved
date. I'm sure I'm missing something, no?
