Hmmm...Well, I've worked a bunch on *NIX, and the user management and
security is much less than i5/OS'. Spooled output on *NIX is abysmal,
and the third party tools bring that level up to tolerable at best.
Work management on *NIX? Not even close.

There's not all that much difference from a development/web
server/data base standpoint. There is a huge difference from the
system administration standpoint.

AIX and Linux has a full suite of development languages and IDEs.

there must be spooled output support. esp 3rd party tools.

web server - any difference?

integrated security and joblogs could arguably just be a preference
and not better than the component approach taken by Unix.
