I am a relatively new participant in midrange-l and I wish I had found
it years ago. It is truly a community. There are fascinating
discussions of many topics that often stray far beyond the bounds of a
midrange list. The biggest challenge I find is keeping up with all the
threads on a busy day. There have been evenings where I had to
apologize to my wife for staying late because there were several threads
I wanted to finish before I would get up from my desk. The level of
experience varies from beginners to seasoned professionals and
generally, the old guys (like me) are pretty gentle to the new; willing
to share their experience to bring along the next generation. Life

name of the platform is and how many times it has actually changed in
You can quote me on that.

Subject: Article on midrange-l
To the midrange-l participants:
Some of us would like to have an article written about midrange-l to be
published in the COMMON daily newspaper (and on this forum) in
Nashville. If you are interested in participating, would you send me
2-3 sentences on what you like best about this forum....why it is
important to you. If it's OK to quote you, please say so in your email.
Send to alucas@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Let's set Friday night 3/20/08 as a deadline. I need to find out from
COMMON HQ when it could run...will let you know.
Thanks! and....yes! I talked via email with David Gibbs about doing
Manzoor....I'll call you tomorrow! This was a spur-of-the-moment idea!
Have a blessed day!
