IBM has completely changed the packaging for development tools on System
i.
This webcast will introduce those changes to you and ALL System i
customers
will be affected.
5722-WDS WebSphere Development Studio for iSeries used to include all of
the customers compilers, and development tools. Now customers will have to
purchase their compilers and tools separately. The WDSCi Client tools have
been unbundled and are also purchased separately now. Again, this affects
all System i customers!
We will introduce the announcements, help customers understand what their
current entitlements will map to for the new packaging and introduce them
to the new development tooling including RDi (Rational Developer for
System
i).
We will also introduce the attendees to other Rational tools they could be
using and a brief update on application modernization. IBM also changed
WDHT (WebFacing Deployment Tool with HATS Technology) to HATS for System
i.
