To add... The /same library name/ across multiple independent ASP means only that; i.e. there is no ability to have the same library name in both *SYSBAS _and_ an iASP. So each would be consolidated into its own independent ASP and *none* into the system ASP. The developers can SETASPGRP to move between each [and into *SYSBAS if/when required], and the users have their initial ASP group set in their Job Description. Not being authorized to SETASPGRP, the system view of the users is limited to within that iASP. The iASP and database name can remain what it was on the consolidated-from system. Development can also be in its own iASP, and perform test activity in that and/or another iASP; e.g. unit-level test local to the development iASP, and higher-level testing in an iASP which mimics the production iASPs.
