Eric,

I don't want to fight either. I just want to help the i5 community to see things from a different perspective...from the perspective of the rest of IT and the real RDBMS community so the i5 platform can have some chance of competition against the real DB2s, ORACLE and SQL Server.

I'll provide more soon but have to develop a presentation, a presentation, BTW, that's about building an Operational Data Store and a Data Warehouse on an i5, leading to what I hope will be some thorough data analysis with some modern tools. This while fighting off the ORACLE or Mickysoft crowd that wants to make everything here ORACLE or SQL Server.

However, since I've done some extensive writing on this forum about what I've been trying to do and what I mean, etc., I'll only have time to give you a few examples of my positions. I'd love to provide a more extensive, once-and-for-all set of arguments and positions and would create such a paper if I thought the i5 community could and would step back and really objectively analyze what I wrote. But, alas, from what I've seen on here many think I'm a heretic and only wish to engage in what I call "religious thought and evaluation" and not objective thought.

More later,

Dave
