While it won't be a problem, mixing different size disks in the same ASP can
push more I/Os toward these new drives. You need to determine how busy
your existing disks are. If your disks are not too busy (WRKDSKSTS and look
at the LAST column should be less than 30%, less than 20% would even be
better). Also, you need to determine what controller you are putting these
disks off of. I would make sure that I had a large Cache controller, and
nothing with a small cache.

Subject: adding disks

We have a 520 at v5r3. We have 27 - 35gb (4326) disk units currently
installed, using raid. Looking at installing 5 new 70gb (4327) units,
into empty slots - not replacing any of the 35gb drives. I realize I
will need to put them in a new raid set because of the size difference.
All will be used in same ASP. Am I missing anything else? Does it sound
logical what I am attempting?
