Theoretically, you can install them during working hours, but every once
and a while it screws up a program product that is in use. You absolutely
can have the weekly IPL apply them. Note that weekly IPL are no longer
necessary now that we have the 64 bit address space that we got with RISC.

I have a question about Option 8.Install program temporary fix package
from the Program Temporary Fix Menu (go ptf). We received a PTF CD from
IBM which must have been System Ordered (Service Agent Auto PTF
Function) since we did order with the sndptford command. Anyways we are
a 520 at V5R3 and I was wondering since we IPL every Sunday Morning can
I use "N" for the Automatic IPL parameter on Option 8 and our PTF's will
be applied during our IPL on Sunday? Also if I do use Automatic IPL "N"
can I install these during normal processing hours or during off hours?
