Getting this error(below) in MOVMEDBRM.
I have 17 tapes & 3 cleaning tapes in a 24 slot library.
When I run the Media Report by Volume in BRMS several tapes not in the slot the report indicates, plus report shows 2 tapes in slot 5!
I read apar II13890 and am hoping this is not as inflexible as it seems.
Saving 1 tape a day, and the move policy says to move that tape from drive
to a "vault", so it puts the 1 tape in the single I/O slot. Over the weekend
no one pulled the tape from the i/o slot, so next night get this msg.
Now I see actual placement of media doesn't come close to Media Report.
Is there a command for BRMS to re-sync with the drive?
