Help for "Allow backups in batch" says:

"Restricted state time limit

"Specifies the amount of time that the backup is allowed to remain in
restricted state when running as a batch job in the controlling
subsystem.

"Note: The backup job will be placed in restricted state if the backup
control group contains a *SAVSYS backup item or *ALL is specified for
_Subsystems to process end_ in the control group.

"While the system is in batch restricted state, system reference code
A900 3C70 is displayed on the operator panel. If the job is still in
restricted state when the specified time limit is reached, the batch job
will be ended and the controlling subsystem restarted."

This is how BRMS knows, when submitting to the controlling subsystem job
queue, whether to end to restricted state.

What is item 10 in the control group?

Loyd,
I did put the *Exit to end subsystems because I did this not under
*SYSTEM control group but *BKUGRP, and I could not see in docs that just
the *CTLSBS itself would force a restricted state. I do know this
running did not go to a restricted state and I had files not saved.
