Maybe, but I don't see IBM losing all that quality control . Lenovo seems
to be able to produce pretty fair laptops and I suspect with the proper
parts they could build a I or P series with little trouble.

There is a "major" difference between QC in the US and
other places.

I just don't see IBM moving that function anywhere.
