I still use real terminals because I have yet to see anything better. Lots of things that are slicker, glitzier maybe, but nothing better. And I'm too damn busy, and too damn poor, to retire!

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: had IBM not abandoned development on the 5250 data stream after the 3489 (and had they maintained the docs and development tools to allow one to write to even the 3487-level enhancements, instead of barely keeping them up to 3477-level), today's 5250 data stream would probably have most of the graphical and windowing capabilities seen in X-Windows.
