We have beat this horse to death more than once, and it always seems to come
back to life.

The cycle is not necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I do not want to have
to re-write the 500+ programs that use the cycle in my shop.

disappointing. the system retains its clunkiness. 10 char object names,

the missing reflection, the RPG programmer has to define prototypes to

amount of work the IDE can do for a programmer. The RPG enhancements are
good. The downside being they make the language even more RPG like. I
think
the language should be less like RPG and more in tune with Java. ( RPG
threading and elimination of the RPG cycle is great news. Would like to
know
if RPG programs can now be called recursively. )
