True, but you'll have to implement an LDAP server, and one that can use
the custom database on the back-end, not just any-old LDAP server.
OpenLDAP appears to be a possibility, one we're looking at now for a
project, but we've not gotten far enough into it to say it works.

There is an LDAP Server on the System i. It's called the IBM Directory
Server. We've been using it in our ERP Software before we developed
our own Office Addons.
