Most word processors can handle RFT documents without conversion. I know Lotus Word Prod does, and I'm pretty sure that MS-Word does also. You can open the document and then save it in a native format. It really isn't necessary to do anything to access your documents from a mapped drive.

I had to convert thousands of documents in about 30-40 folders
that were all OV/400 docs.

The entire process took a couple of hours and after the conversion,
the folks just opened their docs using Word on a mapped drive.

I'm not familar with the RFTDCA.CNV.
