Paul--

I thought that the Directory was a system thingy, not just OV/400... Aren't the DIREs restored as part of the user profiles &c?

If nothing else, it should be (fairly) easy to restore the directory file to your library and write a program to ADDDIRE for each record. Avoids the problem of munging the files on the system, and avoids all that typing!

List,

I am in the process of porting stuff from a 520 to a 525. There are hundreds
of users. Somewhere along the way, somebody got the bright idea that there
needed to be a directory entry in WRKDIRE for every user, so when a user
profile was added, a directory entry was created. The young IT guy is
nervous, and he wants everything brought over "as is".
