The 170 will support up to V5R3. Good luck getting keys for the
software. You can upgrade from V4R5 to V5R1 or V5r2 directly then
upgrade to V5R3. I doubt you will get keys for V5R1 or V5r2. Difficult
for V5R3 but that is the last supported release and if you have an
active maintenance agreement, they should give it to you. You will have
70 days to perform the second upgrade and that is when you will need the
lic keys.

we have an older 170 v4r5 that we want to upgrade to v5r1 or later. Is
this still possible? I see on the IBM site support is gone for v4r5 and
I don't see anything on the IBM site for planning for this type of
upgrade.
