*DAILY is an option for QHSTLOGSIZ in V5R4.

"The special value *DAILY indicates that a new version is created each time the date in the
history log messages changes, or when the current log version reaches the maximum size of 10,000,000 records."

So for smaller/less active systems, it may only create one log file per day.

What do you mean by *DAILY? On my model 520 the system value QHSTLOGSIZ
allows a numeric setting, from 1 to 65535 (number of records for each
version of the history log), and does not allow *DAILY.
