Hi,

Contrary to RPG's %REPLACE where only the first occurence gets replaced, the
SQL REPLACE replaces all occurrences.

Betreff: SQL multiple string replace

The latest copies of Excel I have will not delimit the character fields with
double quotes. So, to prevent reason code 98, I changed all BLANK characters
with a % sign.

Now I have a DB2 file with % characters in the fields. How can I change the
% signs back to a BLANK with an SQL statement? %REPLACE works in RPG for a
single % in a field, but there could be more than one % in each field.

Alternatively, how can I delimit the character fields with double quotes?

Thanks in advance for your help?
Trevor
