I ran into this quite often on a pre-V5 created application. The vendor
software we were using manipulated the library list every time a user
selected a menu option. The software had literally hundreds of libraries,
but with a library list limit of 25... Often a particular program would
require more than 25 libraries, QTEMP was the first to get dumped by the
vendor software. (I inherited the software-so I had nothing to do with
selection)

subject: QTEMP not in library list

I think I've seen at least one customer box that was set up in such a
way that QTEMP is not, by default, in the library list.

Not surprisingly, where I've seen (or suspected) this, it has been in
the context of problems this has caused.

Can anybody explain why (other than total ignorance of the nature of
QTEMP) anybody would set up a box to do this?
