I do not have that software. Would storing a Windows "Send to...
Compressed" file in the IFS be an acceptable test?
I've heard others say something like that also, but we've only been using
it for almost a decade without such issues.
One issue that did pop up is when IBM instituted the darned "Cones of
Silence" (see Get Smart movie) in V5R3 and changed the attribute on the
directory /tmp. I changed this attribute:
Restricted rename and unlink . . . . . :
Back to the pre V5R3 value of No and had IBM ptf it so that it would stop
changing it back upon each IPL.
