This has been this way for years - the data access components of iSeries Access are NOT the Data Transfer component - the data access components include ODBC driver and OLE/DB and .Net providers - there is even record-level access in one of the OLE/DB providers.

And none of this constitutes a seat - as the installation clearly says.

ODBC isn't data transfer. Data transfer is file transfer.
