Thanks Eric. I will check this info out and see if that maybe causing the problems. At least that gives me a starting point. Thanks again.

Don,

Once upon a time, whenever I had odd problems with network laser printers, I would switch their device descriptions to use SYSDRVPGM(*IBMSNMPDRV) (System driver program) in place of *HPPJLDRV or *IBMPJLDRV. SNMP seems to be a bit more forgiving of network glitches, as I recall.

hth,
Eric

Subject: HP 9050 Printer

Hi all: I am having an intermittent problem with print jobs on an HP 9050 printer. Most of the time there is no problem but every once in a while the print jobs will not clear from the print queue and when all jobs are finished printing it starts at the first job and reprints all the files a second time. When I reboot the printer it will clear the queue and start printing properly again. We have 2 of these printers which are being used approx. 5 hr. every day and this problem will only occur 1 or 2 times a month. I cannot find any error message on the printer or in the job logs. I have checked for IP conflicts and also checked the device descriptions and do not see anything out of the norm. Has anyone had this same problem or does someone have an idea of where I should check to see what's causing this. Thanks for any help.
