What PFILE are available to the LFM are defined in the DDS for the LF; i.e. the DTAMBRS() can not dynamically extended [or otherwise] change the [list of] files. Only which data [i.e. physical] members that will be accessed by each file, already bound into the LF object, can be specified for the logical file member being added.

The help text for the file name in the elements of DTAMBRS parameter:
"The physical file names must match a name on the PFILE"...
"If a physical file name is not specified for a physical file that is on a PFILE or JFILE keyword in the DDS, the logical file member is not based on any member of that physical file."
