I didn't see the "please do not perform a reclaim..." comment so I guess
that makes it a case of "mea culpa" for not reading all applicable posts
fully..

I quite understand your point about unrelated issues being corrected by a
RCLSTG but the underlying situation not being improved in this case. Thanks
for the clarification of the reasons why it would not help.

I don't feel scolded, so no harm done :)

First, I am not /scolding/ anyone. My comments may easily be
construed as doing so, but that is my fault for my writing style. I am
merely trying to convey necessary information, that will avoid wasted
efforts, and resolve an issue in a [the most?] straight forward manner.

A reclaim of the *DBXREF will *not* assist here; even if doing so
might correct some [(un)related] issue(s); i.e. even if somehow
perceived either as related to or as having changed any outcome for
those files, and even if the OPTION(*CHECK) implies the request is
desirable. When I say "[please] do not perform a reclaim, as it will
not help", invariably someone will point out something /different/ since
the reclaim request, that they perceive as having helped the situation.
OK, so maybe having run a reclaim could have had some affect. However
that request will surely not effect correction here -- this I can
assure, if details given about the situation [files] are accurate.

The issue for these files in QUSRSYS is with the database file
objects themselves. The System Database Cross Reference is merely a
reflection of the database objects on the system. Thus /refreshing/
information about those object in those cross reference files, the
/catalogs/, should in this case effect nothing of value. Presumably the
catalogs already properly represent, that these database file object
relations in the QUSRSYS library are incorrect according to design
expectations. Additionally, if the relationship issue involves members,
the *DBXREF is inherently unrelated, as it does not reflect information
about members.
