CHGLF MAINT(*REBLD) has the same effect as RMVM.
MAINT(*DLY) will have similar effect since you're
updating the entire file.
After caching keys for a while system will say "heck with
it" and implicitly
switch the acc pth maintenance to *REBLD, netting the
same effect (with
slight delay).

So, once you get to the "real" files and they have access
paths over them,
CHGLF MAINT(*REBLD) would save you A LOT of time.

Yes, I'm updating all the table and no, no triggers,
constraints or journals for these files. These are the
TEMP
files... Good point about the journals, though, have to
check them when we get to the point of updating the
"real"
files.


For Vern:
RMVM can't be used against SQL tables, views, indexes or
any objects that reside in a SQL schema. You get a
CPF320A
error message.
