Results will be unpredictable as long as you do not put the entries into
QINTER. Every time you turn a workstation on, via TCP/IP or Twinax, it
is allocated to the first subsystem that has an entry for it. QINTER
has *ALL so if it happens to be active at the time, it will load to
QINTER if the other SBS happens to be active, it may grab the
workstation. Startup order has nothing to do with it except to force at
IPL. Once IPL is complete, it depends on the activity status of the
subsystem. And I am not talking about whether it is started or not but
whether it has been sitting idle or has current activity such as
starting a new job or allocating a device.

to newbox

Chris - we don't have any workstation names defined for Qinter. We do
have
workstation Type Entries but that value is *ALL and they control the job

at *SIGNON.
We only assign named workstations for the non-qinter subsystems and
those
also control the job at *SIGNON.

SJL- the order of the startup of the sbs didn't change.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.
