Yes, there is lots of ways to do it.

C/Exec SQL
C+ SELECT COUNT(*) INTO :RECS FROM OUTDTA WHERE
C+ OQDDTA LIKE :PRTSCN

Can you write a simple report pgm using embedded SQL and no cursors? If
so, could someone give me the basics? I have been using embedded SQL for
several of my pgms but have always used cursors. Just wondering. Thanks.
