Adding 2 8GB drives into a 170's existing RAID set

Below are the steps I had documented a few years ago when I had to add a
couple refurished disk drives into a client's 170 to get extra DASD
capacity.
I have to do the same at another client in the near future. The server
will be powered down for these steps.

Do any of the hardware experts on the list see any problems with this
procedure?

Adding disk units to existing RAID set and ASP 1

Install disk units

Perform a manual IPL

Start DST

Work with Disk Units

Work with Device Parity

Include new units into existing parity set (this will initialize the
drives)

Add new units to ASP 1

Exit DST

Complete IPL

Suggest running STRASPBAL command to balance ASP using *CAPACITY option
