You're fine with 50, as long as you call this from another program. Calls from program to program will pass parameter values intact. You will only see this issue when calling from the command line (which has to make assumptions about the parameter data). If this is SUPPOSED to be called from the command line, then create a CMD object to give you a command line friendly front-end.

Ok, did the 32 character test (changed my variable from 50 to 32) and it
works fine with that. Prior to the newer release, this was working ok. I
was on 4.5, the end user was probably on 5.1. I am on 5.3 now, they are on
5.4. I see it but I still don't understand it! What is the best way to
allow for longer variables, as email addresses can easily be longer than 32!
