I'd suggest apostrophes instead of double quotes.

SQL Insert summary data from a file plus "other" data






I want to summarize data in a file insert it into another file and also
attach a user's name to that record. Something like this:

INSERT INTO library.myfile (DEVGFT, DEVPLG, DEVPG, DEVTOTC, DEVDOD)
(SELECT SUM(TOTAMT), SUM(PLBALD), SUM(PGEAMT), COUNT(TOTAMT)
FROM library.MMRGDB201)

The DEVDOD field is my problem. The name doesn't exist anywhere to grab.
I simply want to insert "Kern " into that field. How?
