How many more times are we going thru this??

People readily changed from calling it the S/38/36/34 to the AS400, why??
BECAUSE IT LOOKED DIFFERENT!!! The screens the users saw didn't change
much to begin with but the box did.

"Do you want to see our new computer? The AS/400"
"Sure. Hmmmm impressive, dosn't have the TV or that clunky paper disk
thingy anymore"

then

"Do you want to see our new AS/400?"
"Sure, wow so small compared to the other and a sexy black colour too"

then

"Do you want to see our iSeries?"
"Sure, where is it?"
"Over there."
"What behind the 400?"
"No it is the 400, or iSeries as it is called now."
"Doesn't look much different, still says AS/400 on the front"
"Well there are differences.........."
"Well thats nice, just so long as I get my reports."

The users don't care,a lot of people in the UK when they spill some dust
on the floor say "I'll hoover that up", although Mr Dyson is trying to
change that, they still call refrigerators a "Fridge" why, because of one
manufacturer, Frigidaire. (excuse my spelling) . Change the box and they
will change, just change the badge and they will think you are just trying
to get more money out of them.

Now stop all this whittering and get back to work! ;-)
