Jerry,

You must know the people here personally. ;-)

I try to use as much ILE as I can up through V4R5. At least this way I'm
still not back in the 80's on my S/34 and S/36.

But our MAPICS is still old as the hills. The most "current" vanilla code
in it is that Synon generated crap. I even found programs that had
controlling indicators on the left side, and they weren't from Input
Primary files either.

Thanx,

Nick

Hi Rob,

On your number 2 - I have been trying to get us to upgrade for sometime

don't spend money and fix it.

Nick,

I know there's nothing you can directly do vis-a-vis the upgrade, but
that mentality is like saying "My System/3 ain't broke so...". Or more
practically the difference between a TV that can only receive
over-the-air channels -vs- cable or dish. Or still programming in RPG
II or III. I suppose those powers that be run their personal vehicles
until all of the oil is gone; once the engine seizes up, they overhaul
said engine and start over again. After all, it ain't broke.
