Elvis,

The files exist. I was wondering how they were created.

It seems that the iSeries Access wizard was used - it will create the i5/OS
file from the CSV file without transferring the data.

Thanks to 42 for the answer.

Is SQL DDL acceptable?

If so, use iNav's Generate SQL feature.

Long-winded instructions :)

Start System i Navigator (aka iNav) and expand the LPAR you want to go to.
Expand (Databases)->(LPAR name aka system aka database
name)->(Schemas)->(find library where trigger is; if not there right-click
on Schemas and click on "Select schemas to display" and add your
library)->(expand that library)->(Tables)->(right-click on the table of
interest and select "Generate SQL")->(click on Generate)->(you'll see Run
SQL Script window with the CREATE TABLE source).

I hope I didn't miss your point...

Subject: File definitions transferred from PC to i5/OS

I have a set of CSV files with the first row being the column headers.

I have a set of PF-DTA files in a library, that match the CSV file
definitions exactly. There is no data in any of these PF-DTA files.

Does anyone know how these PF-DTA files have been created? There is no
source file. I have been looking in iNav and WDSc for some tool that will
convert file definitions, but no luck yet.
