Back to EDTF. The problem is pretty obvious, or so I think; I probably
don't know the exact format my CL code records are supposed to take. I
created a source member in QGPL/QCLSRC named BACKUP1C. When I open that
member in EDTF, all looks as it should. I can insert, edit, or delete
lines, each of which contains a simple CL command with parms. However,
when I attempt to compile using CRTCLPGM I am told there are no commands
in the program. There are seven, including VRYCFG, INZTAP, ENDDOMSVR
twice, SAV, and STRDOMSVR twice. The same commands run fine from the
interactive command line.

EDTF will allow you to edit both physical files and source physical files.
It might help if you used the CRTSRCPF FILE( ) MBR( ) command to create the
file for your CL program source.
