This is another point I was trying to make with my auditors. Somewhere along the line you just have to trust. There is absolutely no way to stop everything.

be satisfied with either? How could you prove the drive getting shot
(by the gun) is the one getting shot (by the camera)?

But so what if you destroy the drive? How can you prove to the auditor
you didn't make 200 backup copies and sell them? After all, it's the
information on the drive that's valuable, not the drive itself.
