The newer APYJRNCHGX command will handle RGZPFM, but it only works on
database files.

We recently did a disaster recovery test including recovery from the
journals.

I recall trying this in the past and the recovery stopped when it reached
an
entry for a RGZPFM. The reason was that there was no guarantee that the
records on a duplicate RGZPFM (in the recovery) would be placed in the same
RRN as the original RGZPGM. I therefore made it a rule that RGZPFMs are
only done when a save can be done immediately. This re-establishes the
recovery point.

To my chagrin, I realized that one library is being re-org'ed without being
saved. To my puzzlement, the APYJRCHG did the reorg again instead of
aborting.

Does anyone know when this behaviour changed or am I misremembering?

FWIW, we are on 5R3.

Thanks,

Gord
