Andy -

My client (a large multinational JDE shop) is doing a project on the Domestic systems to encrypt certain fields in the JDE database, such as the Employee SSN and Tax ID's in the Address Book file.

We are designing a custom tag file that will hold the encrypted data - the original JDE fields will be loaded with asterisks.
So far, the design appears to be that the key to the tag file will be an aggregate of the file name and the unique key to the original file, plus a long data field to hold the encrypted value.

Subject: Database Encryption

Hi all

Is anyone using any database encryption methods on the i5? Encryption processor, SQL etc.

Just need to get a feel of what sites are using at this initial stage.

Many thanks
