Jim, perhaps the easiest thing to do is to send each location a CD that will
allow you to perform silent installs/upgrades to each PC.

I'll see if I can find the link to building the routine. I did it a few
years ago, and we upgraded 30 locations for a client in about half a day.
The branch managers were responsible for putting in the CD and responding to
the message issued by the autorun program. Each machine took 5-7 minutes
each, depending on the speed of the CD drive.

It's the current project to fix those issues while changing servers.
This customer has suffered years of various net managers, often
as a result of various corporate merger & splits, and finally getting
control of their own network (plus a new i5).
For a testing phase we will have both systems on the network, one
live & one test - and then the big switch (which should be just a dns
change and recently mentioned smtp change).
The problem here is many hundreds of users in 30 physical locations,
so a script is what we will build to update the .ws.
