There's a big difference between digging ditches in 90-130 degree Fahrenheit (32-54 Celsius) heat, and working in an 85 degree office. Most people in North America, unless they're doing the former, already get more salt than their bodies could possibly use constructively. Myself included.

Even with something as simple as salt, self-medication is a bad thing, especially if you haven't any guide to dosage.
