I prepared a CPU bound benchmark and tested the performance of my model 170 vs. my model 520. The CPU in the 520 is 50 times faster, but I still do most development on the 170. Most of my work involves SQL and Web interfaces, but I figure if my applications perform well on the 170, then performance on the 520 will be outstanding.
