We have a client that is receiving emails from their AS400
with PDF attached

The phone does not recognize the attachment as a PDF because
somewhere along the line of getting the

email and attachment from the AS/400 to the PC the
attachment name is enclosed with < >

Example: email sent from the AS400 with PDF attachment named
sales_report.pdf the phone receives

the email with attachment named <sales_report.pdf>

The phone does not recognize the attachment as a PDF and
will not open it

I assume it sees the file suffix as .pdf> so does not know
it is a PDF

But this is a total assumption on my part

The phone can receive emails with PDF attachments
originating from somewhere other then the AS/400

These come toi the phone as .pdf suffix (not enclosed in < >

Has anyone else ever seen this and/or does anyone have a
suggestion for tracking down the problem

Thanks

John Allen
